WID Wellness is a new series of events, specially designed to empower the whole WID Woman in her career. Each event has been carefully created and is based upon member feedback. You told us what you need or would like to see and we listened. Join us for these interesting, healthy and fun events throughout the year!

Business Etiquette for Professional Success: Coming Soon!

This event is for those who would like to hone their business etiquette skills, including dining and keeping the conversation flowing throughout a meal. It does not include a sit-down dinner, but participants will be seated to a full place setting for a refresher on what goes where and how everything works. We will also cover some pitfalls that can come during a donor or fundraising event meal.

Workplace Pilates: November 2019

This program has been designed for WID by extraordinary Pilates expert, Regina Mignona. She has created a series of postures, stretches and breathing exercises that work for you at work. Whether you have a corner office or open workspace, this session will give you tools on how to de-stress at work and get into the right frame of mind before donor events or meetings.

Personal Branding: January 2020

We’ll kick-off the year with a session led by coach April Hannah on how to present yourself and your ideas—both personally and professionally—with confidence. We all represent our companies or organizations, but this gives you an opportunity to represent your best self and give your own elevator pitch. Hone your full professional identity and brand with this special program.

Skincare and Cosmetics Event with Best Face Forward: February 2020

Are you someone who enjoys wearing makeup? If so, this will be a unique evening of cosmetics pointers by Brooklyn woman-owned cosmetics brand, Best Face Forward. It’s aimed at getting you ready for a major donor meeting at 10 am and a fundraising cocktail at 6 pm; from not feeling like wearing anything and just focusing on skin health, to your annual gala. If you don’t like wearing makeup? That’s great too, because there will be a session on how to protect your skin against environmental elements. Somewhere in between? Perfect. This is an opportunity to simply experiment with color palettes and products you might like.
